  We just returned from a lovely weekend in Montreal to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. We really want to give a big shout out to all of the wonderful and accommodating staff at the Delta Marriott, and in particular, Darrin at guest services. From the minute we walked in the door, he went above and beyond to make our anniversary extra special. What a wonderful man with a heart of gold, we couldn’t thank you more for your generousity and kindness.

  Pretty average Marriott stay, considering it's a Delta. It's like management has given up on maintaining the hotel. The staff were friendly if not a bit aloof. I wasn't even greeted as a platinum rewards member until my checkout. More than once they got my toiletries request wrong when I spoke to housekeeping for some refills (since I typically decline daily service). Some obvious signs of housekeeping lacking attention (it was obvious that a previous guest had a bad nose bleed in the bathroom of my room). Garbage can on the 2nd parking level was never emptied once in my 4 days there, and probably been weeks since because it was already full when I arrived. Guests had to resort to leaving garbage all around the trash bin because it was overflowing. And the icing on the cake was that the member's lounge was closed due to "low occupancy", but almost every door on the members floor I was staying on had a "privacy please" sign, and there were constantly people checking in whenever I was in the lobby. It's a good enough hotel for a business stay, but I wouldn't come back for a leisure stay.

  Poor service at reception. Staff not attentive to your needs. Supposed to be on executive floor but asked for a room with two beds. Got downgraded. Bummer. Asked for washing supplies to be transferred from my room (that was ready with Kong size bed). Was told that shampoo is ALMOST the same!!! I stay in Marriots long enough and have platinum status to know that they are NOT the same and ALMOST does not count. Lady at reception said that they will bring my welcome gift! Been almost three hours, still nothing. Hope it is big and heavy that it takes so long to do it. I am staying foe six days. There is absolutely no drawers in the room to unpack my clothes. And I am staying by myself. How two people leave in this rooms. So far - huge disappointment. Hope it will get better.

  We highly recommended that this be the hotel of choice to our friends and families during their next Montreal visit! The room was spotless, the restaurant was great, the waiter made us laugh all while providing top notch service, and the hotel itself is gorgeous. Located in the perfect spot downtown and walking distance to shopping and restaurants was extremely convenient as well. We can’t wait to return this summer!

  Great location, check-in was smooth, the staff were very helpful and rooms were well appointed. The beds were very comfortable and that's something Marriott is apparently very particular about. One minor negative point was that there was no locker in the room. The staff were also kind enough to allow us a late check-out. Overall we had a good experience and we recommend this hotel to tourists and business guests who would like to stay in downtown Montreal..

  Great hotel. Wonderful personalized service. Staff is kind and friendly even at sold out weekend. Rooms are quiet, comfortable and super clean. Highly recommended. Upgrade to Lounge access. It's worth it for afternoon reception and morning breakfast.
