  Had a great time here during our visit! Great location; walking distance to restaurants, shopping and nightlife. Really appreciated the friendly and efficient staff. The room was clean, comfortable and attractive. We stayed in a room with a jetted tub; when we realized we didn't have a plug for the tub, staff remedied the problem quickly.

  I had breakfast at the Meridien. The waitress entered the amount with the tip included and the credit card proceed to prompt me for the tip, again. I was in a hurry so did not notice until after the fact. I effectively tipped more than 30% for some very standard service.

  There is not much in the form of security in elevators or the entrance though. That could be taken as a boon or bane. I find it great.

  I pointed this out to the waitress who just shrugged and said it would be very complicated to undo. I suggest the Meridien revise this misleading and somewhat dishonest practice.

  Lovely hotel rooms with large bathrooms. Love the bath products provided. The location is central and I am glad that the rooms are sound proofed.

  I’m from toronto, came here for a visit, I don’t know if it’s the culture in Montreal or just this hotel but they charged for everything. $25 to use the fridge, we had to bring our drinks down to the lobby to store it and then go pick it when we needed it. Very incovienent. Gym is also very small, barely any equipments. In general, I liked the location and that it was clean but lots of room to improve on.

  The hotel is conveniently located a block from rapid transit. Service is professional and rooms are clean and well serviced. Close to bus and walking distance from downtown shops and services, although just far enough that you don't want to walk in a snowstorm.
