    When this IGA opened several years ago it quickly became my family’s preferred grocery store. Wide variety of quality produce and good customer service However over the last four months , we now actively avoid this IGA due to the utter chaos and confusion at the Checkout since the renovations earlier this summer. Regardless of the day of the week or the time of day the line-ups routinely stretch well back into the store necessitating a 20-30 minute wait to checkout. Moreover staff render the situation worse. My last trip -having already waited 20 minutes in the correct line for the items), I was next up to the Cashier An employee approached me and instructed me to go to the very back of another line for another 20+ minute wait! (I refused)

    Je me demande pourquoi la caissière 129 Cleeshna prend le temps de dire au client précédent le total, de demander s'il a une carte Air Miles et lui expliquer les avantages de la carte Air Miles. Alors que quand viend mon tour, je dois lire sur l'écran le total, car elle ne me le dit pas, au contraire, se contente de me demander de quelle façon je vais payer et biensûr ne me demande/propose pas si j'ai une carte Air Miles. Est-ce parce qu'il est un client autour de la soixantaine blanc et que moi, je suis une jeune femme noire? Je suis simplement curieuse. Je ne comprends pas la psychologie des caissières. Est-ce quand une une caissière noire rencontre une personne de sa couleur de peau, elle ne pense pas que ce soit nécessaire d'être polie? Moi, j'ai pourtant attendu bien gentiment que sa petite conversation avec les clients soit terminée sans montrer aucun signe d'impatience.

    Store is in a good location and well provisioned, but the checkout times are very long. So slow and disorganized

    A bad supermarket with not-so-great hours (they close at 9pm every day). Good tip is to check the expiration dates and check your bill as their scanner tends to double-scan/double charge items!!Their 'specials' often are ridiculously (buy 3 of X to save a few cents) impractical. Only used because there is no alternative in my neighborhood

    Good selection. Prices could be better in comparison to their competitors! 70 % of their frozen goods: ice cream, frozen dinners etc. are freezer burnt! I don't recommend it!

    To respond to Manager: I was referring to the renovations earlier this year wherein the layout for the lanes was changed - obviously ineffectIvely. And if staffing is a concern, what about Self-Help Checkouts? These work well elsewhere and reduce wait times
